Vivian Cannington Walker, age 85, a resident of 2000 Ruin Creek Road, died Sunday, December 16, 2012, at her home.Born on November 29, 1927 in Dodge County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Hershel Cannington and Viola Haupt Cannington.She was the co-owner and operator of the former Dads Restaurant, which closed in 1995.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at 2:00 PM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Johnny Yount.Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Sweet Home Cemetery in Eastman Georgia by the Rev. Jody Yancey.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Chubby L. Thompson of the home; one granddaughter, Joy T. Wrenn of Henderson; and one grandson, Travis W. Thompson of Henderson; and three great-grandchildren, Seth Thompson, Erin Thompson, and Cecelia Wrenn.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail Walker Thompson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 19, 2012, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 2000 Ruin Creek Road.
