Vivienne "Vivie" Rose Drake

OXFORD- Vivienne Rose “Vivie” Drake, eleven, of Windsor Court, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 25, 2024 at her home. Born August 16, 2012 in Granville County, she was the beloved daughter of Doctors Darcy Drake and Alex Drake of Oxford. Vivie’s life was a testament to faith and the miracle of survival despite all odds. Her brief life strengthened and shaped her family, both immediate and extended as well as so many others who cared for her. She loved walks in her stroller, music and church handbells. But she especially loved her family, her special space, and her best friend, Cynthia. Vivie was a member of Oxford Baptist church where a memorial service will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. by Dr. Brett Pardue. In addition to her parents, she is survived by four sisters, Annie, Georgie, Lexi and Josie, all of the home; her maternal grandparents, Doctors Weldon and Cindy Hampton of Oxford; her paternal grandparents, Dr. Roddy and Beverly Drake of Henderson; her maternal great-grandmother, Helen “YiaYia” Keiller of Henderson; an aunt, Missy Stewardson and husband, Jason; four uncles, Sam Hampton and wife, Savannah, Doctors Travis Hampton and wife, Pooja, Austin Hampton, and Wil Drake and wife, Kim; cousins, Bridger, Ella, Shep, Norah and Levy; a great-aunt, Jean Thompson; and great uncles, Brad Keiller, Mike Hampton and wife, Sharon, Charles Drake, and Tom Miles and wife, Sue. She also is survived by her caretaker and nurse of eleven years, Cynthia Currin Gajdosik.
