Vonda Shepherd Springer

HENDERSON- Mrs. Vonda Shepherd Springer, age 71, a resident of 106 Brook Cove Way, died Friday, June 3, 2016 at Duke University Medical Center.Born on October 15, 1944 in Randolph County, she was the daughter of the late Rankin R. Shepherd and Jane Parks Shepherd.She was retired from Southern Quilters where she worked as an inspector and she attended Victory Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 4:00 PM in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by the Rev. Frank Sossoman.
She is survived by five daughters, Wanda Thomas, Jamie Thomas, Elizabeth Roberson, and Cynthia Johnson all of Henderson and Mary Hilliard of Louisburg; three sons, Dale West, Doug West and Allen West all of Henderson; her brother Dean Shepherd and wife Linda of Kittrell; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Ralph Springer, Sr. and Benjamin Dale West.
The family will receive friends following the service on Friday at J.M. White Funeral Home.
