Walter "Eugene" Burwell, 55, of Community House Road, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Granville County on April 18, 1964, he was the son of Alexander Spottswood Burwell and Barbara Robinson Burwell of Oxford.He was employed as a lead formulations operator at Novozymes.He was also a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church and Egypt Mountain Hunting Club.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM at Rehoboth United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Lee Miller and Rev. Will Breedlove.
In addition to his parents, Eugene is survived by his wife of 33 years, Terry Stewart Burwell of the home; three sons, Dustin Burwell, Jeremy Burwell, Randall Burwell all of Oxford; five grandchildren, Trenton Burwell, Kinley Burwell, Nathan Burwell, Jayden Burwell, and Nick Burwell; his brother, Marshall Scott Burwell and wife, Kyle, of Oxford; his aunt, June Bulow of Birmingham, AL; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Ralph Burwell.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at Rehoboth United Methodist Church on Saturday from 1:30 till 3:00 PM and at other times at the home of his parents, 2205 Community House Road Oxford, NC 27565.
