FRANKLINTON- Walter Horace Finn, 78, of South Whitaker Street, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.Born in Franklin County on September, 11, 1942, he was the son of the late Luther Watkins Finn and Sallie Louise Chappell Finn.He was retired from the Franklin County School System where he worked in maintenance.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Gardens by Pastor Phillip Sharp.
Mr. Finn is survived by his wife, Joan Powers Finn of the home; a daughter, Traci F. Ayscue and husband, Gregory of Franklinton; a son, Daniel Finn and wife, Sonya of Cary; four grandchildren, Christopher Ayscue, Abbey Finn, Rebecca Ayscue and Jordan Finn; a great grandson, Augustus Ayscue; a sister, Patricia Finn Jackson of Youngsville; and a brother, John Finn of Louisburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Luke Finn and Mickey Finn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Franklinton Volunteer Fire Department, 9 Hillsborough Street, Franklinton, NC 27525 or Franklinton Lions Club, 205 S. Chavis Street, Franklinton, NC 27525.
