HENDERSON-Walter Gray W.G. Twisdale, age 83, a resident of 214 Red Bud Circle, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Kerr Lake Nursing & Rehab.Born in Vance Count on April 14, 1931, he was the son of the late Elmus and Maude Twisdale.
Mr. Twisdale was retired from Clayton Mobil Homes, Inc.He was a dedicated andfaithful member of North Henderson Baptist Church where he was a member of the David Stokes Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brent Kasey officiating.Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Wortham Pegram Twisdale of the home; two-step children Cindy Pegram Jessie and Michael Keith Pegram, Sr. of the home; three brothers, Edward Twisdale of Jamestown, NC, Jack Twisdale and wife, Barbara of High Point, NC, and Dick Twisdale and wife, Linda of Henderson, NC; and thirteen nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Louise Twisdale OGeary.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be the men of North Henderson Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Henderson Baptist Church, 1211 N. Garnett Street, Henderson, NC 27536.
