OXFORD- Wanda Maragni Liberatore, 93, of Mistletoe Lane, died Friday, January 3, 2025 at her home. Born June 25, 1931 in Sant’Eusanio, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Emma Maragni and Giuliano Maragni and was the widow of Nestore Liberatore. She attended St. James Catholic Church. Known for her excellent cooking, she also enjoyed gardening, knitting and was a seamstress for many years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at James Catholic Church by Father Albert Lelo. Wanda is survived by her son, Giuliano Liberatore and wife, Mary Ann of Nazareth, PA; two daughters, Carla Wegener and husband, Michael of Oxford and Dara Sawczuk and husband, Adrian of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren, Dina, Danielle, Matthew, Gabriella, Alexander, Andrew and Adam; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Silvana Maragni of Jersey City, NJ; and two brothers, Berardo Maragni of Miami, FL and Sergio Maragni of Irwin, PA. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Merina Colageo and Sorinda Maragni; and two brothers, Sabatino Maragni and William Maragni, her twin. The family will receive friends prior to the service at St. James Catholic Church from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.
