HENDERSON-Wanda Tart Thomas, age 59, a resident of 76 Megan Lane, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Duke University Medical Center.Born on June 6, 1951 in Vance County, she was the daughter of Inez Clark Weaver of Henderson and the late Odell Tart.She was the manager of the Henderson Business Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the John Baldwin. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Billy Thomas of the home; one daughter, Dolly T. Strickland of Henderson; one son, Scott Thomas of Henderson; two sisters, Ann T. Green of Garner and Bess T. Parham of Henderson; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 76 Megan Lane.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Robbie Borum, David Smart, Tyler Strickland, Ethan Parham, Craig Clark, Patrick Merrill, Steve Ernie Wilson, Jr. and Brad Collins.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
