Wanda Jones Williamson

TOWNSVILLE- Mrs. Wanda Jones Williamson, age 75, a resident of Townsville Landing Road, died Monday, February 1, 2016 at Universal Health Care in Oxford.Born in Corinth, MS on August 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Jones and Vivian Wardlow Jones.
She was retired from Facet Manufacturing. Mrs. Williamson attended Nut Bush Presbyterian Church where she formerly served as a Sunday School teacher.Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2PM at Nut Bush Presbyterian Church by Rev. Dave Vellenga.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Williamson is survived by her husband, George Hammett Williamson, Jr. of the home; her step-son, Darris Williamson of North Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers, Bernard Buddy Jones of Henderson and Jerry Jones of Forest City; three sisters, Elsie Clark, Brenda Triplett and Shelby Page all of Corinth, MS; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Georgia Kay Williamson; four brothers, Wesley Jones, Raymond Jones, Leslie Jones and Perry Ford Jones; and a grandson.
The family will receive friends Thursday following the service in the fellowship hall of Nut Bush Presbyterian Church.
