HENDERSON- Wayne Arnold Lancaster, age 66, a resident of 1150 Gun Club Road, died Saturday, September 13, 2014 in Cabarrus County.Born in Vance County on October 26, 1947 he was the son of the late Edward C. Lancaster and Helen Foster Lancaster of Raleigh.He was a decorated Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam.Mr. Lancaster was the owner and operator of Lancaster Transmission Service in Henderson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday evening at 7:30 in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Neil Woodlief.Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Adam Wayne Lancaster and wife Christina of Mooresville; and two sisters, Gwendolyn L. Vass of Raleigh and Sharon L. Daniels of Suffolk, VA.
Visitation and viewing will be held Wednesday prior to the funeral from 6:00 pm till 7:30PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.
Arrangements are by J.M. White Funeral Home.
