RALEIGH-Wendell Edward Hershman, age 66, a resident of 3827 Bonneville Court, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at his home.Born in Vance County on July 9, 1948, he was the son of the late Oliver Wendell Hershman and GraceEdwards Hershman.He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Roses Stores, Inc.
A memorial service will be held Friday night at 7:30 pm in the chapel of J. M. White Funeral Home.
He is survived by one daughter, Abby Lynn Hershman of the home; two step-daughters, Erin Carpunky of Raleigh and Jodi Hinton of Zebulon; three sisters, Carolyn Woodlief, Linda Grissom, and Ann Williams all of Henderson; one grandson, Dwayne Edward Southerland; and six step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 until 7:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Wendell Edward Hershman Funeral Fund, c/o J. M. White Funeral Home, 60 Zeb Robinson Road, Henderson, NC 27536.
