HENDERSON- Mr. Wilbert Earl Rainey, age 71, a resident of 1019 Elm Street, died Monday, March 02, 2015 at his home.Born on August 30, 1943 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Wilburt Lee Rainey and Pearl Vaughan Rainey.Mr. Rainey was retired from M.R. Williams, Inc where he worked as a security guard.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Allgood Rainey of the home; a daughter, Kathy Rainey Wiggins of Henderson; three sons, Wilbert Earl Rainey, Jr., David Lee Rainey and wife Tammy and William Douglas Bill Rainey all of Henderson; three grandchildren, Michael Livengood and wife Tiffany, Laurin E. Rainey, and Payton B. Rainey; a step daughter, Wendy Carter and husband David of Henderson; two step sons, Donnie Allgood and Matthew Darnell and wife Nickki of Henderson; four step grandchildren, Haley Carter, Hunter Allgood, Amber Null and Autumn Null; and two great grandchildren Cameron Livengood and Makayla Livengood.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.At other times they will be at the home, 1019 Elm Street.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Carl Fisher, Bobby Eatmon, Royal Long, Matthew Darnell and David Carter.
