HENDERSON-Wiley Vance Moseley, age 71, a resident of 1385 Southerland Mill Road, died Sunday, August 12, 2012, at his home.Born in Franklin County on November 5, 1940, he was the son of the late Josh Hill Moseley and Margaret Pendergrass Moseley.He was a Veteran of the United States Army, served in the Army Reserve, and was retired from Laurens Glass Co. After his retirement from the Glass Plant, he was the Captain of a Charter Boat in Morehead City. He attended Alert Pentecostal Holiness Church.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012, at 3:00 PM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jerry Fuller and Barbara Hawkins.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia Evans Moseley of the home; three sons, James Vance Moseley of Henderson, Charlie Wayne Smith and Randy Owen Smith of Franklin Co.; two daughters, Shannon Michelle Hale of Franklin County and Brandy Michelle Thomas of Henderson; two sisters, Betty ONeal of Warrenton and Elaine Rush of Farmville VA; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday immediately following the service at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home at 1385 Southerland Mill Road.
