HENDERSON-William Ernest Bill Bowers, Jr. age 85, a resident of 1704 NC Hwy 39 N in Louisburg, died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Franklin Regional Hospital.Born in Roswell, NM on October 13, 1925, he was the son of the late William E. Bowers, Sr. and Thelma Carus Bowers.Mr. Bowers was retired from Bowers Electric Company where he was a supervising electrician.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Sunset Gardens Cemetery by Rev. Ricky Easter.
He is survived by his wife, Essie Virginia Edwards Bowers of the home; two sons, Jerry Bowers of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Billy Bowers; two brothers, Carl Bowers of Joplin Missouri, and Bob Bowers of Albuquerque; two step-sons, Jerry Taylor and Freddie Taylor of Henderson, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Mr. Bowers was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Bowers and Jackie Bowers.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM till 1:30 PM before the service at J.M. White Funeral Home.
