HENDERSON- William Alvin "Billy" Brame, Jr., 73, died Monday, October 1, 2018 at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center in Durham. Born in Vance County on April 7, 1945, he was the son of the late William Alvin Brame, Sr. and Myrtle Boone Brame. He was formerly employed by Swing Transport Company, Royal Home Fashions, and Waste Industries. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 2pm at Flat Rock United Methodist Church by the Rev. Robin Farner. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Harris Brame of the home; two sons, Keith Brame of Wake Forest and Jason Humphries of Oxford; one daughter, Teresa Norwood and husband, George of Bullock; one step-son, Ray Allen and wife, Jenny of Raleigh; one brother, Dennis Brame of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
