William Earl Walker, Jr., age 55, a resident of 180 Watkins Way, died Monday, October 30, 2017 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Vance County on August 11, 1962 he was the son of William Earl Walker, Sr. and Rosa Abbott Walker of Henderson.Earl was employed with Century Link where he worked as an area supervisor.He was a member of Brookston Presbyterian Church and Arcola Gun Club.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2 at 2pm at Flat Rock United Methodist Church by Rev. Pam Gilliam and Dr. Michael Hobbs.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Wendy Hayes Walker of the home and his daughter, Jenna Lauren Walker also of the home.
The family will receive friends following the service on Thursday at Flat Rock United Methodist Church and at other times at the home, 180 Watkins Way, Henderson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Hayes, David Hayes, Johnny Cheaves, Joel Creech, L.C. Medlin, Johnny Royster, Jamie Royster, Josh Parker and Lance Parker.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society, PO Box 911, Henderson NC 27536.
