Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 19, at 3 pm at Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Wood and Dr. J. Melvin Vaughan.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by one son, William B. Billy Granger, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Henderson; one daughter, Betty Granger Teague and husband, Johnny of Morganton; three sisters, Dorothy C. Ball of Epsom, Sadie C. Faulkner of Henderson, and Josephine C. Clark of Louisburg; one granddaughter, Kelly G. Dickerson; five great grandchildren, Robbie Granger, Chris Granger, Katie Granger, Cassie Dickerson, and Shannon Riggan; his long time caregiver, Josyln Wrenn; and his faithful companion Tino.He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Capps Granger; one son, Bobby Ray Granger; two grandsons, William B. Granger, III, and Clay Riggan; two sisters, Amelia Newman and Elsie Griffin; and two brothers, Ben Granger and Charlie Granger.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 until 3 pm on Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home of Billy and Kathy Granger at 255 Old Hester Place, off Kelly Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Charles C. Granger, Jr., Charles Buster Granger, Cabe Granger, Ronnie Perkinson, Jerry Pearce, and Gerald Blackmon.Serving as honorary pall bearers will be W. C. Newman, John Mack Granger, Henry Riggan, Emanual Williams and Emanual Williams, Jr.
