William Ransom Harris

William Ransom Harris, age 83, a resident of 500 Sombrero Lane, died Monday, January 13, 2014 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on June 26, 1930 in Harlan, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Elbert Harris and Priscilla Boggs Harris, and was the widower of Mary Watson Harris.He was a retired Lineman for the Telephone Co.
Graveside services will be held Friday, January 17, 2014 in the Watson Family Cemetery in Elizabethtown by Ernest Taylor.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Harris and William Harris of Henderson; one brother, Francis Elmer Harris of Summersville, Kentucky; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Randy Harris.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
