William Ted Kittrell

HENDERSON- William Ted Kittrell, 71, of Highway 158 Business, died Saturday, May 27, 2023 at his home. Born September 16, 1951, in Vance County, he was the son of the late Willie Arthur Kittrell, Jr., and Amelia Pace Kittrell. He retired from Carolina Telephone Company after working 41 years as a technician in the central office. Ted was a member of Kittrell Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing guitar and keyboard and was a member of several bands including “Country Cut Ups,” “Southbound Band,” “Brake Tyme Band,” and “Southern Reign.” Ted also loved to travel. He was a beloved husband and was very kind and patient. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 7:30 in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Dr. Barbara Murphy. Ted is survived by his wife, Sharon Wright Kittrell of the home; a sister, Linda Kittrell Greene of Henderson; and a brother, Dan Arthur Kittrell of Raleigh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Pace Kittrell and a nephew, Wesley Pace Kittrell. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 6:30 on Thursday at J.M. White Funeral Home.
