William James Mills III, 54, of Littleton, and formerly of Henderson, died January 18th at ECU Health in Greenville NC. William was the son of the late William James Mills Jr and Vivian Hixson. He was born June 20, 1969, in Chapel Hill. William was born as a triplet with his sisters Aileen and Alice. William was dearly loved by all that knew him. He was a dedicated son, brother and uncle who had a great love of cooking, decorating and animals. He was a huge fan of Stitch from the movie Lilo and Stitch. His favorite phrase from the film was "Ohana", a Hawaiian term meaning family. He is survived by his stepfather, George Hixson of LaFayette, Georgia; four sisters: Nancy Brailey of Roseburg, Oregon, Carol Norris of Raleigh, Aileen Harris of Louisburg and Alice Elliott of Mayodan; Nieces Susan Mills of Dayton, Ohio, Emily Harris of Raleigh, Ashley Brinkerhoff of Central Point, Oregon, and Kristian Gonzales of Bloomington, Illinois; nephews: Dylan Elliott of Greensboro and Alexander Harris of Apex. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Steven, Donald, Bobby and David Mills. A private service will be held at a later date.
