HENDERSON- William Thomas "Bro" Powell, 68, of Reservoir Street, died Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Durham Select Specialty Hospital.Born in Vance County on January 8, 1952, he was the son of Oral Lee Hunt Powell of Henderson and the late John Henry Powell.Bro was retired from North Henderson Cotton Mill.
A private graveside service will be held Sunday, April 12, 2020 at 12:00 PM by Rev. Wilbert Horton and Dr. Michael Grant at Sunset Gardens.
In addition to his mother, Bro is survived by three sisters, Patricia Myrick McDaniel and husband, Thomas of Henderson, Betty Newman Holloway and husband, Mike of Wake Forest, and Violet Yvonne "Bonnie" Powell of the home.
Anyone wishing to view Bro may do so at J.M. White Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00PM until 5:00PM.
