William Caldwell Quinn

KITTRELL- William Caldwell Quinn, 88, of 91 Friar Lane, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Waterloo, NY on July 30, 1929, he was the son of the late Joseph Quinn and Grace Merriman Quinn. He received an undergraduate degree from Iona College in Electrical Engineering and a masters degree from Fordam University in Physics.William was a Veteran of the United States Air Force served at Griffiss Air Force Base and worked for Rome Air Development Center. He was a retired physicist with Par Technologies.He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion in Franklinton.
Memorial services will be held Monday, February 5, at 10 AM at St. James Catholic Church by Father John Gillespie.
William is survived by his wife, Doris W. Quinn of the home; two daughters, Kathleen Quinn-Leering of Chicago, IL and Stephanie Pishko of Cape Cod MA, a son, Robert William Quinn and wife, Amanda of Raleigh NC; three grandchildren, Mariel Leering, Tobias Leering, and Madeline Quinn; a step-son, William Lilley of Pine City, NY; four step-daughters, Billie Jean Best of Roxboro NC, Teresa Bailey of Syracuse, NY, Connie Kelts of Batesville, IN, and Linda Jackson of Sylvan Beach, NY; 13 step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Estelle Quinn of Rome NY.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Quinn and a son-in-law Dr. Philippe Leering.
The family will receive friends following the service at St. James Catholic Church.
