William Marvin Satterwhite

William Marvin “Bill” Satterwhite, 63, of Saddletree Road, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital in Durham. Born July 6, 1963 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Neleine Edwards Satterwhite and Earl Thomas Satterwhite, Sr. Bill worked at Variety Wholesalers for 42 years where he was Director of Distribution. He was an active member of Island Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Margaret Morgan Sunday School Class. He was an avid UNC Tarheel fan, enjoyed watching lacrosse, and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. at Island Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Johnny Yount. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Bill is survived by his wife, Angela Roberson Satterwhite; two daughters, Kayla S. Sadler and husband, Andrew and Mattison R. Satterwhite; his son, Lucas H. Satterwhite; two brothers, Michael E. Satterwhite and wife, Brenda and Earl T. Satterwhite, Jr. and wife, Rene; his sister, Jacquelyn A. Satterwhite; his brother-in-law, Carlston H. Harris, Jr. and wife, Michelle; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Finley and Maverick.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and at other times at the home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Stainback, Christopher Stainback, Jared Bennett, Paul Tyler, Holden Hedgepeth, Ronald Bennett, Lee Chandler and Wade Bliss.
