Willie Lewis Daniels, 74, of Vicksboro Road, died Friday, March 6, 2020 at Wake Medical Center. Born in Raeford on August 5, 1945, he was the son of the late Peter Daniel Ray and Nina Daniels Ray. Willie was retired from John Umstead Hospital where he worked as a Health Care Technician and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Henderson, NC.
A Celebration of life service will be held Friday at 2:00 pm at Central Baptist Church by Dr. Randy Mann.
Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife, Laurie Nelson Woods-Daniels of the home; four daughters, Kathy Smith and Patricia Mcphatter (Gary) of Raeford, Lywanna Woods of Charlotte and Terrel Gorham (Roderick) of Raleigh; two sons, Dalton Daniels of Raeford and Kwand Woods of Marshalltown, IA; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and one brother-in-law, Michael J. Nelson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son Darris Daniels of Raeford and Harold B. Nelson.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Central Baptist Church in Henderson.
