HENDERSON-Woodson Earl Faulkner, age 90, a resident of Henderson died Friday, May 2, 2014.Born on May 27, 1923 in Wake County, he was the son of the late Kenneth Adrian Faulkner and Mary Magdalene Duke Faulkner.He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving during World War II, and was a retired auto mechanic and member of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tim Burgess.Burial will follow in the New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Olivia Faulkner Faulkner of Henderson; four daughters, Sharon Faulkner of Fuqua Varina, Andrea Faulkner of Rougemont, Earline Newton of Oxford, and Terry Faulkner of Raleigh; one son, Woody Faulkner of Greensboro; one sister, Kathleen F. Harris of Henderson; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dwight B. Faulkner
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:30 until 2 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Wes Harris, Dan Cardella, Charles Faulkner and William Newton.Serving as honorary pall bearers will be all members of the Silver Melody Group.
