Sylvia Ysaguirre Esquivel

Sylvia Ysaguirre Esquivel, 88, of Henderson died Sunday, January 21, 2024 at her home. Born on November 12, 1935 in Belize City, Belize, she was the daughter of the late James Bradley Ysaguirre and Helen Rose Moguel Ysaguirre. She was a retired high school teacher where she taught in Muscatine, Iowa. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a former member of the Woodland Garden Club. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in the columbarium of St. James Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Roberto Antonio Esquivel; her children, James Anthony Esquivel (Gladys) and children, Brittany Harvey and Justin Esquivel; Margaret Esquivel-Damato and children, Tyler Damato, and Parker Damato; Roberto Manuel Esquivel (JoAnn) and children Sarah Upchurch, Laura Hamrick, and Rebecca Faircloth; Carole Yvonne Esquivel Marcotte (David) and children, Ruth Marcotte, and Katharine Marcotte; and George Ivan Esquivel (Angela) and children, Jaden Esquivel and Jace Esquivel; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Reuben Miguel Esquivel; sister Lenna Gloria Ysaguirre; and brother Francisco Perera. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parrish Hall of St James Catholic Church.
